Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a service which transmits website traffic data to Google servers in the United States. Google Analytics does not identify individual users or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. We use reports provided by Google Analytics to help us understand website traffic and webpage usage.

Learn more at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/, and to opt out, visit http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Advertisements

Our website utilises embedded advertisements via Google’s Adsense program. Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve these adverts. A DoubleClick cookie is used which enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet you’ve previously visited.

All visitors in the EEA will only be shown non-personalised advertisements. Non-personalised ads are targeted using contextual information rather than using browsing history data. Although these ads don’t use cookies for ads personalisation, they do use cookies to allow for frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting and to combat fraud and abuse.

Learn more at https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/, and to opt out, visit https://adssettings.google.com.

CloudFlare

Our site uses CloudFlare for better security against online threats, specifically bots crawling the site looking for vulnerabilities. CloudFlare is also used to optimise website performance to give you, the visitor, the best possible user experience. A cookie is used to identify individual users on a shared IP address and apply security settings on a per-client basis. The cookie allows CloudFlare to identify visitors and challenge their legitimacy if necessary. The cookie is also used so that approved visitors are not challenged twice. The information gathered does not correspond to any user ID in your web application, and does not store any personally identifiable information. Read more.

Login Protection

In order to check login activity and block potentially fraudulent attempts, the following data is collected: attempting user’s IP address, attempting user’s email address/username (i.e. according to the value they were attempting to use during the login process), and all IP-related HTTP headers attached to the attempting user.

This feature also tracks failed login attempts along with their IP address, attempted username or email address, and user agent information. A cookie is set following the simple math question (jpp_math_pass) for 1 day to remember if/when a user has successfully completed a math captcha to prove that they’re a real human. Learn more about this cookie.

Blog and Comment Subscriptions

To initiate and process subscriptions, the following information is collected: subscriber’s email address and the ID of the post or comment (depending on the specific subscription being processed). In the event of a new subscription being initiated, we also collect some basic server data, including all of the subscribing user’s HTTP request headers, the IP address from which the subscribing user is viewing the page, and the URI which was given in order to access the page (REQUEST_URI and DOCUMENT_URI). This server data is used for the exclusive purpose of monitoring and preventing abuse and spam.

Functionality cookies are set for a duration of 347 days to remember a visitor’s blog and post subscription choices if, in fact, they have an active subscription.

WordPress.com Stats

We also monitor website traffic via WordPress.com. Collected data includes IP address, WordPress.com user ID (if logged in), WordPress.com username (if logged in), user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp of event, browser language, country code.

Important: The site owners and administrators of Zaposphere.com do not have access to any of this information. For example, we can see that a specific post has 285 views, but we cannot see which specific users/accounts viewed that post. Stats logs containing visitor IP addresses and WordPress.com usernames (if available) are retained by Automattic (the plug-in developer) for 28 days and are used for the sole purpose of powering this feature.

Activity Tracked: Post and page views, outbound link clicks, referring URLs and search engine terms, and country. Page load performance is also tracked in order to make sure that plugin and code that powers this feature is not causing performance issues.

Shopping

When you purchase a product from our site we need to store certain pieces of information in order to process those orders. The specific data collected will include any information you provide on this site’s checkout form. For example: your name, email address, product/s purchased, price paid, payment type, postal address (if required) as well as your IP address (used for fraud protection).

This information is collated onto our site’s database for order processing and also sent securely to PayPal for payment processing. This site does NOT process payment information. Once payment is completed, PayPal confirms with our site the payment status (e.g. cancelled, pending, completed etc) in order for us to finish processing the order and deliver goods as necessary (either physically or digitally).

We will do our upmost to make sure your order data is kept secure and will never share it with third parties.
